Clients who cancel sessions with less than 24 hours notice, or who do not show up for their scheduled session will be required to pay the full amount of the session. Additional information is available in Informed Consent documents that will be sent to you before your first scheduled appointment.
How long will I need to be in therapy and how long before I feel better?
The short answer…it depends! Most clients start to feel better and notice shifts in their mood, thought patterns and emotions after the first few sessions. The length of treatment depends on your trauma history, treatment goals and a host of other factors. Typical sessions will last about 60 minutes, and 90 minute sessions are available upon request. Frequency of sessions is individualized based on your needs, availability and affordability. Clients typically feel better faster if they can commit to sessions once a week at the beginning of the treatment process.
How scary is it to process trauma?
Know that as the client, you can set the pace for your sessions. Nothing is addressed unless you feel safe and comfortable, and you are free to pause or stop at any time.
