Do you feel stuck in life?

So often in life, our past experiences-both positive and negative-dictate our present, even if we don’t realize it. Feeling constantly anxious, irritable or on edge can deplete us of energy, make it difficult to concentrate, socialize or maintain healthy relationships. Traumatic memories can overwhelm us or make us feel anxious, depressed, or make our emotions feel out of control. We might feel stuck or powerless, have difficulty sleeping, chronic pain, or feel a constant desire to escape, even years after the trauma is over.

You don’t have to live this way forever

With the right kind of help, you can move past the worst of these symptoms. Recipients of trauma informed, whole brain treatment approaches can start to feel a sense of relief almost immediately.

Your brain is designed to heal

Everyone experiences a traumatic event at some point in their life. The symptoms experienced after trauma are the direct result of the survival brain doing it’s job: keeping us alive.

The human brain is hardwired to adapt and survive, and our autonomic nervous system helps get our bodies into gear to escape, fight, or neutralize what it perceives as threatening. Often, the traumatic experience that cued our bodies to go into survival mode get “stuck” in our nervous system, leading to lasting symptoms.

When we use the right approach for our bodies with the right person, we get unstuck.

Collaborative change for healing and growth

I feel strongly that therapy should be a collaborative, relational process. My job is to support you in living your life the way you want to live it. I use a blend of experiential approaches to help you create lasting symptom relief and change.

From my very first exposure to experiential trauma healing techniques, I knew I was exactly where I needed to be. Moving beyond traditional talk therapy, using movement and sensory experiences to deepen the therapeutic work and using the therapeutic relationship as a healing tool inform every part of my approach.

Relational & Attachment Trauma

Humans are wired for connection. From day one, we rely on the support of caregivers and loved ones to meet even our most basic needs. When something goes wrong and those needs aren’t met, we get stuck in survival patterns that keep us from thriving in our relationships.
